A drugs baron has been spotted at a fancy black tie event while on parole.
Keith Shea, 42, served just nine of his 15 years after being caught in a lock-up surrounded by an arsenal of weapons and class A drugs.
The university-educated criminal blew up to £4m on fancy cars and holidays.
But Shea looked more than happy and he grinned into the camera a £720 fundraising event in Wirral’s lavish Thornton Hall hotel with his wife Sara Shea.
Donning a bow-tie, Shea grinned for pictures at the £720-a-table, three-course charity ball.
A source told the Liverpool Echo : “Seeing him dolled up like that is quite sickening, especially when police say they will chase him forever for his money.
“Bearing in mind this was his second jail sentence for drug dealing, why such leniency?
“He should still be in prison in my book – instead of being at liberty to enjoy black-tie dinners.
“He doesn’t appear to have a care in the world.”
Shea spent £2m buying extremely pure drugs to dilute and repackage ready for sale on the streets.
He and his wife blew the rest of their loot on a lavish, jet-set lifestyle, spending thousands on luxury holidays, designer clothes and expensive jewellery.
They married in a lavish Barbados beach ceremony – splashing out £12,000 on flights alone – before throwing a £6,000 homecoming at Wirral’s Hillbark Hotel.
When police raided their home in Broadway Avenue, Wallasey, they discovered £12,000 worth of handbags and his-and-hers Chopard watches worth £100,000.
A £110,000 Aston Martin was parked on their front drive, alongside a £76,000 Porsche and a £46,500 BMW.
Forensic accounts established Keith Shea had benefited to the tune of £3,971,660 by his crimes, while his wife gained £117,885.
But following months of inquiries, investigators assessed Keith Shea had just £150,745 available to foot the massive crime bill.
Merseyside Police vowed that they would chase the pair for the rest of their lives for the cash.
Detective Constable Elaine Moore said in 2007: “It is a debt for life. It will never go away.
“The money taken off them is what we can find at the moment.
“But if, in the future, we can find any more money or either of them have any money or assets – houses, cars or bank accounts – we can keep going until that figure is paid.”
Shea was in attendance at Mandy’s Ball - a gala fundraising dinner, auction and raffle for Myeloma UK.
