Paedophile Who Fled Abroad For Sex-change Caught

Paedophile Who Fled Abroad For Sex-change Caught
A paedophile who fled abroad and had a sex-change operation after abusing his stepson was caught after his wife spotted him on Facebook as a woman.
Jose Lucas Majano Mejia, 25, went on the run in October 2012 after his wife accused him of sexually abusing her nine-year-old son.

The couple lived together at their home in the town of Santa Cruz de Yojoa in the Cortes region of Honduras.
A local police spokesman said the man had apparently fled to Mexico after the allegations were made and officers started looking for him.
Using money sent to him by his mother, he paid for a full sex change surgery which left him physically a woman.

He said that the accused had returned to Honduras to be near to his mother where she started a new life as a woman nicknaming herself "Keysa".
But after 'Keysa' opened a Facebook account she became quite popular in the area, and purely by chance was recognized by her ex-wife.
The woman told police that she had been stunned when she saw that her former husband had become a woman but added she had absolutely no doubt that the Facebook woman Keysa and her former husband were one and the same.
Officers who tracked down and questioned Keysa confirmed that her real identity was that of Jose Lucas Majano Mejia, and she was arrested.

After admitting having a sex change operation, Jose aka Keysa was put on trial and has now been convicted of child abuse in relation to the allegations concerning the nine-year-old boy.
The case has been adjourned for reports pending sentencing and the child pervert faces between 45 and 60 years in jail.
The police spokesman said: "We currently have him in a cell at the police station because we are not sure whether to put him in a male or female prison. Technically he should go to the male prison, but there are issues placing a man who is physically a woman in a male jail."
