Juventus player has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after smashing his Ferrari in a late night car crash.
The Chilean midfielder was travelling home from a casino on a highway south of Santiago when he lost control of his vehicle causing extensive damage to the front and causing the airbags to deploy.
Vidal, currently back in his home country for the Copa America, was then taken to San Luis de Buin hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
His wife, who was alongside him in the car, also wasn't seriously hurt.
Local footage then showed Vidal being taken away from the hospital in the back of a police car for questioning.
"The driver of the red vehicle was under the influence of alcohol," Chilean police colonel Ricardo Gonzalez said after the incident.
Vidal posted a message on social media confirming the accident and reassuring that he and his family were unhurt.
