Nail-biting footage shows the moment a great white shark snapped its powerful jaws at a film crew in a dinghy.
The 6m beast lunged at two people on a tiny boat floating off Stewart Island, New Zealand.
The great white can be seen wrestling for bait, snapping its jaws and tossing the tiny dinghy around.
The group had been filming a documentary, Lair of the Megashark, which is due to be screened on Discovery Channel last year.
One nervous voice can be heard saying: "It's a little nerve-wracking being in a boat no bigger than the size of the shark. The shark is actually bigger than our boat."
While another chimes in: "I don't think this is such a brilliant f****** idea you know. I don't think we can have a boat in there. I really don't."
The film crew was reportedly trying to attach a camera on the fin of a shark to try and gain footage of a shark feeding ground.
Local people have reported sharks bumping into boats, biting buoys and stealing fisherman's catch.
