A millionaire's son who served a prison sentence for leaving a baby brain-damaged in horror car crash has been jailed again for a year - for his part in a bar brawl that left a man blinded.
His co-defendant Theadore Mullings-Fairweather, 25, left victim Jarondeep Kooner blind in his left eye after he smashed him in the face with a bottle, was jailed for eight years for inflicting bodily harm during the minute-long brawl.
Two other defendants were jailed for 18 months each for violent disorder at the Brindley Place bar at 2.45am on April 6 last year, the Birmingham Mail reported.
The footage showed Mullings-Fairweather, Boparan and their two co-defendants – Nathan Pringle, 32, and Edward Ansah, 24 – in the VIP Lounge of Nuvo Bar as their victims, Mr Kooner and Harprit Singh, arrived with others.
Violence flared when Mullings-Fairweather was pushed in the back by a member of the newly arrived group which was followed by a series of punches and kicks being thrown.
Pringle, followed by Ansah and Mullings-Fairweather then grabbed bottles and glasses from an ice bucket to use as weapons.
Mullings-Fairweather then smashed a bottle in Mr Kooner’s face, shattering his eye-socket and leaving him without sight in his left eye.
As the four defendants left the club, Mullings-Fairweather spotted Mr Singh again and punched him.
Boparan then threw Mr Singh to the floor, kicking him in the head and leaving him unconscious in the street.
Boparan's parents Ranjit and Baljinder own the 2 Sisters Food Group and featured at number five of the Birmingham Post's 2015 Midland Rich List with a wealth of £800 million.
Boparan was previously sentenced to a one-year prison term for causing horrific injuries to one-year-old Cerys Edwards in a car crash in November 2006.
He was aged 19 when his dangerous driving caused horrific injuries to Cerys who requires round-the-clock care to this day.
He crashed into her parents’ car as he was travelling at more than 70mph on the wrong side of a 30mph road in a powerful Range Rover Sport.
Mullings-Fairweather was jailed for another eight years for a separate offence of robbery involving a cash in transit van.
