Man, Teen Shot To Death After Van Hits & Kills Toddler

Man, Teen Shot To Death After Van Hits & Kills Toddler
The driver of van who hit and killed a two-year-old girl has been shot dead at the scene, potentially in revenge for the accident.
A teenager, who was not in the vehicle, was also fatally wounded when he too was gunned down.

Police in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, said the accident happened at 5.10pm on Sunday after the toddler ran in to the road.
Police Captain Timothy Heier said in a statement the driver, identified as Archie Brown Jr by his father, had remained at the scene and he and a 15-year-old boy were then shot.
He said the teen was not a passenger in the van and had died in hospital after surgery. Brown and toddler were pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made and police have launched a manhunt for the gunman.
Local Milwaukee councillor Joe Davis was called to the scene to give a statement and said the shooting may have been carried out in revenge for the little child's death.
“I know that the people in that house may have been very, very upset about the incident - the vehicular incident that occurred, but you don’t solve these types of things with guns, and start shooting and taking other people’s lives,” Mr Davis said.
The dead man’s father Archie Brown Sr., 68, said police showed him a photograph of his son and that he had been shot in the head.
"My son's just been murdered,” Mr Brown said. "If I am a man of God and I believe in the Bible, nothing happens without a reason.
“What the reason is, I don't know. That's terrible. My son has gone to eternity.”
Mr Brown described his son, who was a father-of-four daughters, as an entrepreneur, buying and renting out houses and other residences.
The driver did have a teenage passenger in his van at the time although he was not targeted.
Police have not ruled out the 15-year-old who was shot and killed was a case of mistaken identity and the intended target was Brown's passenger.
