Jennifer Runs To Dad

It was the same outfit but a different date for Jennifer Lawrence on Monday afternoon.

The solemn-looking 24-year-old had called on her father Gary for comfort after news of her sudden split with Coldplay singer Chris Martin, 37, broke that day.

Jennifer stepped out for the first time since the break up earlier that afternoon in a slouchy jumper dress and later headed to dinner with another special man, in the same ensemble.

 

It has been widely reported that the actress was the one who called off the relationship with Chris, who has daughter Apple and son Moses with his ex-wife Gwyneth. 

And it was father Gary who was the man picking up the pieces on Monday as the pair grabbed comfort food in Los Angeles.

 

The Hunger Games star wore the same jumper dress she'd been seen in earlier that day in Malibu and showed off her slim legs ankle boots.

The vivacious actress kept her head down as the pair headed out at night - failing to crack a smile as she had done earlier that day.

Her father Gary followed in quick succession of his dejected daughter, directing a knowing smile at the cameras. 

It has been reported that Chris's relationship with ex wife Gwyneth had driven a wedge between himself and Jennifer. 

 

A source told MailOnline on Monday: 'Jen got tired of watching Chris play happy families with Gwyn and was annoyed that he was trying to keep her hidden away.'
