A mum left her two children with a babysitter - then ran off to Syria to join ISIS, according to reports.
Jasmina Milovanov is suspected to have been recruited to become a jihadi bride by notorious brainwasher Zehra Duman.
The single 26-year-old mum, who had converted to Islam, left her children, aged five and seven, in the care of a teenager but failed to return home.
The babysitter passed the children into the care of another family member after several days but the mother's whereabouts remained a mystery.
After more than two weeks missing she eventually appeared on social media, appearing to announce her move to Syria with a cryptic Facebook post.
A former friend told local news reporters Ms Milovanov had grown "emotionally and mentally disturbed" in recent months.
She was "easily manipulated", according to reports, and counted Duman and other extremists among her friends.
The Facebook message, understood to be from Ms Milovanov, indicated she was in “the blessed land of sham”, meaning Syria.
“Plz forgive me for not responding to peoples texts n calls ... bad reception here,” she wrote.
“Alhumdillah I am okay ... Please forgive me for everything.”
Earlier this month, Ms Milavonov texted her ex-husband in Turkey informing him she had travelled to Syria but needed to return to Australia, according to reports in the country's Daily Telegraph.
He told the newspaper he believed his "impressionable" wife had gone to Syria to get married and feared she may "finish her life".
In an interview he said he was "absolutely shocked" and had concerns for his "two beautiful children".
He said: "Before she (went) I talked to her (about the extreme Facebook posts). I said this is extreme, stupid. I was warning her about who she hang out with."
