Bumping into an ex is always going to be awkward. And it was too much for Cara Delevingne when a former flame arrived at the same do in Cannes.
Supermodel Cara, 22, was at the glitzy De Grisogono bash at the Hotel du Cap with her new girlfriend, singer St Vincent, 32.
But as soon as Cara heard her Fast and Furious star ex Michelle Rodriguez, 36, had arrived, she made a beeline for the nearest exit, telling friends: “I can’t face seeing her.”
3am witnessed the model’s swift departure. Not normally one to leave a party early, Cara and her new laydee, who she has been dating since December, promptly left for her hotel.
Our party sources tell us: “Cara and Michelle haven’t spoken since the split and they aren’t friends anymore.
“Cara was with her new girlfriend and she couldn’t face any kind of awkward confrontation.
“As soon as they heard Michelle had arrived they left. Cara was telling her pals she just didn’t want the hassle.
“She left the bash at about 1am and headed back to her hotel. Very tame behaviour.
But Cara missed a treat at the De Grisogono after-party, which featured mermaids, fairies and robots on stilts.
Actor Benicio Del Toro, 48, was quite taken by one lady dressed as a fairy in hotpants, telling us: “They look incredible.
“I’m having a brilliant time, let’s go crazy.” Swoon.
There was also a fashion show by designer Gyunel, who was the talk of the festival, and dressed Cara – as well as 3am’s Halina, who rocked a Bambi-inspired number.
Leonardo DiCaprio, 40, was also at the party, flanked by beautiful ladies and burly security guards for most of the night.
Di Cap left the du Cap at 5am to have his own bash at a swanky villa. Our source adds: “Leo knows how to party.
“He invited everyone back to his villa, which he is sharing with the British producer Nellee Hooper.

“It really was a no-expense-spared, boozy affair.”
Now, that is what we’re talking about.
