Couple Attacked Ex Lovers With ACID

A woman and her boyfriend committed a string of acid attacks on her ex-lovers to “purify her” as they began their new relationship, a court in Italy has heard.
Martina Levato, 23, and Alexander Boettcher, 30, were described by a judge as “more dangerous than the mafia” when they appeared in he dock in Milan.

Levato made list of at least eight of her former lovers they intended to disfigure with a highly corrosive liquid, it was alleged.
She confessed in court: “I wanted to do something evil for Alexander to prove that I loved him.”
Levato and German property broker Boettcher had even planned to arrive in London to track down and attack a man who had flirted with her in Ibiza, the court heard.
But they were arrested before the could carry out their plot last year on suspicion of throwing acid at ex-boyfriend Pietro Barbini, 22, who suffered third-degree burns and damage to his right eye.
They even sprayed men Levato had only kissed with a highly corrosive liquid that left them with permanent scarring and third degree burns.
Levato had also attempted to castrate a former male friend in a parked car in 2014, the court in Milan heard.
Police found them in possession of paint guns, pepper spray and ‘corrosive liquid’ when they were arrested.
Judge Giuseppe Gennari said in court: “I have dealt with mafia bosses in this court, but none of them were as dangerous as you too.
“These attacks were frighteningly extreme.”
An alleged accomplice named Andrea Magnani, 32, was arrested in February and also appeared in the dock.
All three were refused bail at the remand hearing and will appear in court for trial at a date to set.
