A staggering two-year-old was taken to hospital after being served sangria instead of cranberry juice at a birthday meal.
Little Gabriela Gilliam was taken to a restaurant by her parents to celebrate her dad's 25th birthday when she began 'kissing everything' and 'feeling sick'.
After the tot complained her drink tasted funny, dad Derek and mum Tiffany realised she had been served the wine and fresh fruit punch and not the soft drink they ordered.
Gabriela was later taken to hospital where doctors confirmed she was suffering from accidental alcohol ingestion but was not seriously hurt in the mishap.
The Texas Roadhouse restaurant, in Asheville, North Carolina has since apologised to the family and written off their bill.
Tiffany told WLOS: "She was staggering and she was kissing everything.
"It was very scary - I mean me my mom, his mom, we were all in tears.
"I don't want that to ever happen to anybody else's child.
"I was scared that she might not wake up, that she'd choke on her throw up and not wake up.
"It was the most horrible feeling ever."
The Texas Roadhouse chain has more than 400 outlets across the US.
A statement from the company said: "We are taking this incident as an opportunity to look for ways to make our systems even better in order to prevent this from ever happening again."
