The Looking For Love singer - who has enlisted the rapper's help on three tracks taken from her new Rebel Heart album - has admitted she sees something of herself in the controversial star.
She told the New York Daily News: "Kanye is the new Madonna. Kanye is the black Madonna."
While the Queen of Pop sees similarities between her and Kanye, she also described them as boundary-breaking "comrades".
She added: We know, and recongise, that we have that in common. We're comrades in the envelope-pushing genre."
There seems to be a connection, with Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian revealing that Madonna was the inspiration behind her new platinum blonde hair.
he recently told PEOPLE magazine: "I've always had this image of Madonna with platinum hair in my references folder on my computer and I've been waiting a long time to try the look.
"I thought what better time than right now for Paris Fashion Week. It was a really last minute decsion."
